Directions for Use

1. Cleanse hair thoroughly. (For best results, use As I Am Curl Clarity Shampoo or Coconut CoWash.)

2. Leave hair soaking wet or very damp. Do not towel dry.

3. Dispense a small amount (approximately quarter-sized) into palms and distribute evenly from roots to ends.

4. Using a wide-tooth comb, flexible detangling brush, or fingers, gently detangle hair in sections. Start at the ends and work upward toward the scalp using short, controlled strokes.

5. If additional slip is needed, apply a very small amount more. Avoid overuse.

6. Proceed with styling as desired.

Detangling Tips

• Detangling is often easiest while shampoo lather, co-wash, or rinse-out conditioner is still in the hair. Use a wide-tooth comb for minimal breakage.

• For those who prefer to cleanse, condition, and detangle in one step, this Detangling Conditioner offers excellent slip to release knots and tangles effortlessly.

• As this is a concentrated leave-in formula, begin with a small amount. If too much product remains after detangling, a very light rinse may be used to adjust the feel.

• If desired, rinse out completely and follow with your preferred leave-in conditioner before applying styling products. (As I Am Leave-In Conditioner is recommended.)
